A short, terse introduction.
Painter Jure Cekuta has been involved with art creation for over three decades. Artwach, Artwagon, Artwine and Artbody, ArtCarpet to name the few most important, are his first attempts of seeking unconventional forms of introducing artistic esthetics into immediate environment.
Artwood is therefore a logical continuation of search for the optimal harmony of form and essence, connected with wood. It is no coincidence he found his counterpart in the distinguished company Stilles from Sevnica, where a project is evolving, containing many basic derivatives. One of them is displayed here today.
High esthetic standards, adjusted with functionality and masterly knowledge of construction and craftsmanship distinguish the Stilles products. Such conditions are necessary for the Artwood project, where the artist realizes his vision of supreme alloy of beautiful wooden form with artistic elements, included in the wholesome shape of the object. Golden leaves technique is extremely demanding, as there are numerous procedures included in the process that have to be mastered to the finest details in order to achieve excellence and supreme appearance. Only the absolute coherence of wood and added material including the artistic signature of the artist himself forms the undivided whole.
Artwood is exclusive, innovative and insightful vision of excellent furniture designed for contemporary leaders of numerous firms, banks and insuring companies and other important economic, financial and political factors of modern society. Artistic component is a special nobility of wooden expression in the Stilles manor of supreme product, which signs every artist that will create it and add another dimension to the value of such creation. It is also proof of human creativity’s boundaries being shifted and alive, as the creativity itself.

Slikar Jure Cekuta se že dobra tri desetletja ukvarja z likovnim ustvarjanjem in med prvimi poskusi iskanja nekonvencionalnih oblik vključevanja likovne estetike v neposredno okolje je šteti njegove projekte Artwatch, Artwagon, Artwine in Artbody, če omenim le najbolj bistvene. Artwood je torej samo logično nadaljevanje iskanja optimalnega sozvočja oblike in vsebine, povezane z lesom. Ni naključje, da je našel sogovornika v uglednem sevniškem podjetju Stilles, v katerem nastaja projekt, ki ima v svoji zasnovi veliko izpeljank. Ena od možnih je tukaj na ogled.
Visoka estetska merila, usklajena s funkcionalnostjo in mojstrsko znanje pri načrtovanju in izdelavi, odlikujejo Stillesove izdelke. Takšno zaledje je nujno za projekt Artwood, v katerem likovni umetnik v materializirani obliki uresničuje svojo vizijo vrhunskega zlitja čudovite podobe lesa z likovnimi elementi, ki jih slikar vključuje v celostno podobo objekta. Tehnika zlatih lističev je zelo zahtevna, saj so za vrhunski videz in učinkovitost potrebni številni postopki, ki jih je treba obvladati do potankosti. Šele popolno sožitje lesa in dodanega materiala ter likovna faktura avtorjeve zamisli tvorijo nedeljivo celoto.
Artwood je zunajserijska, inovativna, pronicljiva vizija vrhunskega pohištva sodobnih vodilnih upravljalcev družb, sistemov, bank, zavarovalnic in drugih pomembnih gospodarskih, finančnih in političnih dejavnikov sodobne družbe. Umetniška komponenta je posebna žlahtnost govorice lesa v Stillesovi maniri vrhunskega izdelka, ki podpisuje vsakega umetnika, ki jo bo ustvaril in s tem dodal novo razsežnost v vrednosti tovrstnih stvaritev. Je tudi zgovoren dokaz, kako so meje človeške ustvarjalnosti premakljive in žive, kot je ustvarjalnost sama.
